School Council Meeting 1st July 2008 - Minutes of  Meeting

Present  Mrs McDonald, Mrs Cooke, Becky Conroy, Lewis Barry, Lucy Green, William Morris, Najibah Chowdry, Matthew Mallam

 Scooters

-WM  suggested we paint track on playground leading from church gate to scooter shed.

-BC  commented that people were getting hurt on way to school.  She suggested we inform parents that they need to encourage children to take more care on pavements.

-She also said  an area set aside for scooters at far end of playground would  make the playground safer for others.

-JM asked whether more signs in playground area would help keep children on scooters away from the others.

 Mornings

-Discussion about safety of barrel as children roll down slope bumping into others, also jumping over it when it is rolling. It was felt there should be clearer rules about where it can be played with and how far children are allowed to roll in it. Heleena needs to  remember to move it at end of last play up to near classrooms so younger ones don’t play in it.

-Would a sign help to tell people not to use playground equipment before and after school?
