Meeting Everyone's Needs

The school believes that all children are entitled to access a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum which is differentiated to meet individual needs.

We aim to identify as early as possible children with special educational needs and pupils with special talents and abilities. The school employs a part-time Special Needs Co-ordinator who works closely with the class teacher and parents to establish programmes of support.

The school's Able Child Co-ordinator ensures that appropriate provision is made for our able and talented children. This might involve individual programmes of work, movement of pupils between classes for identified areas of the curriculum, or the involvement of outside agencies and local cluster groups.
